Geospatial Social Media Recap April 25, 2015
Here are a few of the more interesting or amusing (at least to me) surveying, mapping, geomatics, technology and other generally geospatial related social media updates from around the interwebs (with occasional tangents).
Geospatial updates more fun than a barrel full of monkeys… monkeys with maps that is. (Click to Tweet)
Terrane Aerial Mapping via Canadian GIS & Geomatics Geospatial
With UAV aerial orthophotos and digital elevation models looking this sexy and colorful, I feel that when I started as a land surveyor we were living in black and white!

Stockpile Reports: Measure Stockpile Volumes, Tonnage and Locations with an iPhone

Google Slashes Price of Project Tango 3D-Mapping Tablet
Wango Tango! This update got me all googly-eyed to see that Google’s 3D spatial mapping tablet Project Tango is 50% off – when available – at $512. Say, anyone have $512 I can borrow?

[Tangent] Game of Thrones Map: Where is Volantis?
Where is it? How about what is it? I’m sure that if you’re a Game of Thrones aficionado (which you can tell that I am not) then this is makes perfect post-Doom sense to you! Regardless, I never met a map that didn’t make me stop and look at it. I’m easy that way.
