The Business of BIM Executive Dinner seminar will address legal and contractual aspects of BIM, team and communication processes, and how to adapt to BIM requirements. Carlo Paciulli from Hunt Ortmann Attorneys at Law will discuss common legal issues of BIM and Autodesk’s Kenneth Stowe will speak on streamlining team collaboration. From the Los Angeles Community College BIM Expansion project, Rinaldo Vasileza of Cumming Corporation will address the process of adapting to and adopting mandated BIM requirements.

With public entities increasingly making BIM a requirement to bid on jobs, Autodesk and Kelar Pacific champion educating the Los Angeles construction market on best practices in leveraging BIM implementation. This knowledge can secure business success for construction professionals as well as propel business growth as BIM specification requirements become the norm.

The Los Angeles Community College Expansion is an example of the regulation of BIM as a requirement for any party wishing to bid on a project. In another news-making example, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) recently moved to the standardization of BIM in all state highway projects. As the construction industry evolves, contractors can expect this trend to continue.

Autodesk Revit software and Autodesk Building Design Suite 2012, enable customers to support a Building Information Modeling workflow, while Kelar Pacific offers expertise in implementing BIM for their clients or supplementing teams to fulfill BIM specification demands.
