Earlier this week I posted the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 System Requirements. Later, I added a link in that post to last year’s AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 System Requirements post if you are now upgrading to AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012.

In my quick look at last years AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 System Requirements post, it was my impression (again, a quick look) that there are not a lot of differences in the system requirements from last year to this year’s release.

This made me question: What are the differences in computer system requirements between AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013?

So, here is a side by side comparison between the AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 system requirements.

A review between the two system requirements reveals that most of them are identical. From what I can see, however, the AutoCAD CAD Civil 3D 2013 system requirements differ from the prior year’s release, by:

  • Microsoft® Windows Vista® Enterprise, Business, or Ultimate edition (SP2 or later) is no longer supported with AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013
  • For 32-Bit AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013, 2 GB RAM minimum (4 GB recommended) is required, double the 1 GB RAM 32-Bit AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 minimum requirement
