Here is this week’s Twitter #FollowFriday Professional Land Surveyor Recommendations:

wkfd@wkfd – WKFD is the Twitter account for the Kung Fu Drafter blog. They are drafters and geeks trying to share information with people with similar interests. I highly recommend visiting The Kung Fu Drafter blog, as it is a fun site and full of information too! If you get a chance read the Blog: KFD and Google Kiss and Make Up … blog post explaining how Google has officially cleared Kung Fu Drafter of any nefarious activities. I knew this all along, as I’m sure many of you did, too!

iPinda@iPinda – Edwards Twitter bio says “CAD specialist, AutoCAD trainer and Civil 3D addict” and if you visit his Civil 3D Peanuts blog, you’ll discover that he’s also a part-time freelance AutoCAD trainer and full time CAD application administrator for an international AEC company. You can also learn nice tips and tricks like, Get those Earthwork Volumes of a layout Pipe Network.

ryanpconnolly@ryanpconnolly – Ryan is a civil engineering student, CAD user, and CAD learner (aren’t we all though). He occasionally refers to me as “mr. colburn”, which makes me laugh. This week, I liked his tweet, “Dudes wearing capris… Not cool”. I agree Ryan, I so agree. Now I must get rid of my capris…

cad_notes@cad_notes– Edwin is from Indonesia, is an AutoCAD and Revit user, and writes the popular CAD tutorials and best practices blog CAD NOTES. Checkout Edwin’s AutoCAD competition, where he provided his e-books, batik arts (paintings) and batik shirts for the winners. Check out his Autodesk Homestyler: Design your interiors online… for Free! post.

@smith_blarney@smith_blarney – His Twitter bio says, “I am a Writer interested in Art, Music, Website Development, FilmMaking, Poetry, True Crime & Most Importantly: Raising My Beautiful Kids”. All of this sounds very interesting to me and I look forward to reading his tweets.

Eagle_Point@Eagle_Point -Eagle Point has been providing the AEC and Geospatial markets with technical solutions and services for over 25 years (disclosure: Eagle Point advertises on this site). For AEC, they offer desktop solutions that run on AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, including solutions for surveying, like their Surveyor’ Companion for Civil 3D and other AEC and Geospatial markets with technical solutions.

envisioncad@envisioncad – The Envision Group has the great tag line of “SEE The CAD Possibilities”; I love that. They are all about “Empowering you with the ability to improve your efficiency and maximize your investment in CAD technology. MicroStation training, AutoCAD Civil 3D customization, InRoads training, and more!” Love that, too!

NN4D@NN4D – NAVTEQ NN4D’s Twitter Bio suggest, “Become a member of the NAVTEQ Network for Developers and begin exploring technical resources and tools”. Today they tweeted “NAVTEQ Selected as Tier One Supplier to Dubai Based Emitac Mobile Solutions” http://bit.ly/9wEiPS. Congratulations! To learn more about NAVTEQ Network for Developers™ (NN4D),
The Global Community for All Your Location App Needs, visit their NAVTEQ Network for Developers Website.

CADRelations @CADRelations – CAD Relations website is an “Engineers Online Portal” for CAD, Engineering, Architecture, Community, Motorsports and Design, including Autodesk and Bentley software, which they proudly shout from the rafters “that is what we love and live for!!” I love the passion that they bring to the industry. Check out their SolidWorks World 2010: Video Interviews and impressions Playbook, it’s cool!

landsurveyorsU@landsurveyorsU – Twitter account for the great people from Land Surveyors United. PLS Network where Professional Land Surveyors Change the Industry through discussion and media. Network with other surveyors globally in any language!

CaPLS8200@CaPLS8200 – Kevin is a fellow Professional Land Surveyor located in Fresno & Clovis, Calif, serving the Central San Joaquin Valley. He has experience in Private & Municipal Exp. Boundary, ALTA surveys and Construction surveys. All this is good, but in addition to all of that, he’s a surveyor with a cowboy hat – I love that!

CDSPaul @CDSpaul– Paul is President of Carlson Desktop Solutions (CDS) which is a technology firm working to help professional land surveyors find faster ways to do things like layout, easier COGO, and “True Field-To-Finish Solutions. I recommend his Paul Carlson’s Blog which has good information on using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson Software. Check out his post on Eagle Point Software Corporation to Offer Compatible Solutions to AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 Software.

HaynesAdams@HaynesAdams – Shenandoah Valley, Virginia Land Surveyor & Manager at Haynes Adams Associates LLC. You can also check out the Haynes Adams Associates LLC Company profile on Manta http://www.manta.com/c/mtccs66/haynes-adams-associates-llc. Haynes Adams Associates LLC ia a Land Services Company Specializing in: Land Surveying, Planning, Subdivisions, Zoning Analysis, Feasibility Studies, CAD Modeling, GIS, and more!

LivingRheum@LivingRheum – I’ve saved the best for last – My wife Jo-Ann. I know I’ve said it before, but it’s true, so here it is again: Jo-Ann is a dedicated mother to our three boys, loyal and supportive wife to me, long-suffering surveyor’s wife, business partner, wellness blogger about Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lyme Disease, compassionate, smart as a tack, and willing to set me straight when need be. Jo-Ann, without a doubt, is the reason I am here today and is the “why” and the “how” I’ve become the man that I am. Thanks, babe! She writes a wonderful blog called LivingRheum, which you should visit. Read her Rheumatoid Arthritis: How My Journey Began post and her follow up post to this one, too. For all you land surveyors or other outside workers, her story is worth reading, particularly as it relates to Lyme Disease and how little health care professionals known about this disease.

That’s a wrap!
