Here is this week’s Twitter #FollowFriday Professional Land Surveyor Recommendations:

iPinda@iPinda – Edwards Twitter bio says “CAD specialist, AutoCAD trainer and Civil 3D addict” and if you visit his Civil 3D Peanuts blog, you’ll discover that he’s also a part-time freelance AutoCAD trainer and full time CAD application administrator for an international AEC company. You can also learn nice tips and tricks like Importing AutoCAD Objects as Surface data points.

cad_notes@cad_notes– Edwin is from Indonesia, is an AutoCAD and Revit user, and writes the popular CAD tutorials and best practices blog CAD NOTES. Definitely read yesterday’s post on How to: Draw an Arc with a Specific Arc Length?

wkfd@wkfd – WKFD is the Twitter account for the Kung Fu Drafter blog. They are drafters and geeks trying to share information with people with similar interests. I highly recommend visiting The Kung Fu Drafter blog, as it is a fun site and full of information too! This week I enjoyed reading Review: Kung Fu Drafter Reviews AutoCAD Freestyle … blog post.

JoshNelson@JoshNelson – Josh is a Civil Engineer and current President of the Civil CADD Consortium. The Civil CADD Consortium, or C3, was founded in 2000 by a group of Southern California civil engineering professionals, mainly comprised of local office, as well as corporate-level, CADD Managers.

StevenPFusco@StevenPFusco – Steven is a neighbor, friend, and the Technology Guru behind SPF Technology, providing fast, courteous, and professional computer configuration and repair services. Knowledgeable and experienced in every aspect of computer and IT technologies, Steven is my go-to-guy for everything technology. Besides that, he’s a great guy, too!

ryanpconnolly@ryanpconnolly – Ryan is a civil engineering student, CAD user, and CAD learner (aren’t we all though). He occasionally refers to me as “mr. colburn”, which makes me laugh. In my mind I’m his age, or younger, but the years do tend to add up after awhile.

CaPLS8200@CaPLS8200 – Kevin is a fellow Professional Land Surveyor located in Fresno & Clovis, Calif, serving the Central San Joaquin Valley. He has experience in Private & Municipal Exp. Boundary, ALTA surveys and Construction surveys. All this is good, but in addition to all of that, he’s a surveyor with a cowboy hat – I love that!

CDSPaul @CDSpaul– Paul is President of Carlson Desktop Solutions (CDS) which is a technology firm working to help professional land surveyors find faster ways to do things like layout, easier COGO, and “True Field-To-Finish Solutions. I recommend his Paul Carlson’s Blog which has good information on using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Carlson Software. If you use GPS, check out his post on Fixed Height Tripods for GPS.

Eagle_Point @Eagle_Point -Eagle Point has been providing the AEC and Geospatial markets with technical solutions and services for over 25 years (disclosure: Eagle Point advertises on this site). For AEC, they offer desktop solutions that run on AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D, including solutions for surveying, like their Surveyor’ Companion for Civil 3D and other AEC and Geospatial markets with technical solutions.

Indydrafter@Indydrafter – Bryan is a knowledgeable resource for CAD tips, tricks, jobs, news, and is “The Indypendent Autodesk Resource!” If you get a chance visit his website and blog, Indydrafter.com, which is chock-full-of Autodesk information. If you’re setting up, or thinking of buying, a workstation for AutoCAD Civil 3D, then check out his The Indydrafter Guide to Civil 3D Workstations post.

Brent_Jones@Brent_Jones – Global Marketing Manager Survey/Cadastre/Engineering at ESRI, High Accuracy GIS, Land Administration, GPS, Civil Engineering, Cadastre. This week Brent recommended reading and learning about the ArcGIS Online Community Maps Program. In addition to that, I recommend following Brent because of his unique qualifications and experience on both sides of the GIS /Land Surveying fence, so to speak.

LivingRheum@LivingRheum – I’ve saved the best for last – My wife Jo-Ann. Dedicated mother to our three boys, loyal and supportive wife to me, long-suffering surveyor’s wife, business partner, wellness blogger about Rheumatoid Arthritis and Lyme Disease, compassionate, smart as a tack, and willing to set me straight when need be, Jo-Ann, without a doubt, is the reason I am here today and is the “why” and the “how” I’ve become the man that I am. Thanks, babe! She writes a wonderful blog called LivingRheum, which you should visit. Read her post on having Lyme Disease Again, which should serve as a reminder to all of us that we are in the worst months of the year for Deer Ticks and Lyme Disease – Be careful out there and take precautions.

That’s a wrap!
