2009 Land Survey Thrown Out by Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp in the long-standing border war between Bibb & Monroe County.
In August 2009 I wrote about Professional Land Surveyor Demands Pay From Bibb County, Georgia for County Line Survey. In that article, I wrote about Professional Land Surveyor Terry Scarborough who at that time had not yet been paid for his survey of the disputed Bibb and Monroe County line.
With millions of dollars of tax revenues at stake, and political expedience (and realities) coloring the process and decision-making, this county border dispute is a very public example of border disputes and the professional land surveyor.
