Here are this week’s Twitter #FollowFriday Professional Land Surveyor Recommendations:

Lyme_Warrior@Lyme_Warrior – Misdiagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis for 10-years, Jo-Ann reassessed her condition, care, and treatment, taking the bold step of questioning her supposed “health care” and sought alternate (but logical) explanations for what was happening to her. Long story short, Jo-Ann has recently been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, rather than Rheumatoid Arthritis. Now she is a Lyme Warrior and the driving force behind the new and innovative LymeWarriors.com, an informative website, social network, forum, and support network for all Lyme Warriors.

artpetty@artpetty – Arts Twitter Bio says,  ”I help professionals develop as senior contributors & I help firms solve vexing problems in marketing & strategy. Management & Leadership author/blogger/mentor”. This week I read a brilliant article Art wrote and posted a linkt to his article here: Leadership Caffeine-Give Your People Room to Run | Management Excellence.

CADRelations@CADRelations – CAD Relations website is an “Engineers Online Portal” for CAD, Engineering, Architecture, Community, Motorsports and Design, including Autodesk and Bentley software, which they proudly shout from the rafters “that is what we love and live for!!” I love the passion that they bring to the industry. Check out their AutoCAD Back to the Basics: Opening drawings by Drag’n Drop post.

wkfd@wkfd – WKFD is the Twitter account for the Kung Fu Drafter blog. They are drafters and geeks trying to share information with people with similar interests. I highly recommend visiting The Kung Fu Drafter blog, as it is a fun site and full of information too! It’s an older post, but a good one, so visit The Kung Fu Drafter to read the CAD: Untie Your Favorite Commands from the Map 3D 2010 Ribbon … blog post.

Twitter #FollowFriday Professional Land Surveyor Recommendations

If you’re on Twitter then you are probably aware of Twitter’s weekly “Follow Friday” social introduction and recommendation tradition. If you’re not on Twitter, or new to the site and its idiosyncrasies, how it works is this: You post a Tweet with people you recommend and include the hashtag of #FollowFriday (or #FF). For example, last week one of my #FollowFriday recommendation tweets looked like this:

#FollowFriday @Indydrafter @cad_notes @iPinda @CADRelations@ryanpconnolly @rose_realestate @luis_galarza

What Follow Friday on Twitter allows you to do is to list the users that you recommend. As usual with Twitter though, is you have to do all of this in 140 characters or less. With that limitation, and that on Fridays Twitter gets all gummed up with lots and lots of these lists, the value of the recommendation can seem watered down and can get lost in the fog. Ideally, on Twitter, you would add a personal note as to why you are recommending one user to your followers. However, with the size limitation this can be problematic and often Twitterers often just push out their list of Follow Friday recommendations like you see above.

With all of that in mind, I thought that I could give the Follow Friday thing on Twitter a little more value by posting here the people I recommend on Twitter. While I have done this before in my Professional Land Surveyor Newsletter with my Twitter Tweepouts, the credit and inspiration to also do this in this blog must go to Chris Brogan (@chrisbrogan) who suggested creating a Follow Friday post, such as this, in his community and social media blog.
