Autodesk has announced an update / hotfix for it’s AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 product line. According to Autodesk, this update / hotfix address the following:

In a continued effort to improve, we are releasing this hotfix for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 that addresses a number of survey, and some addition non-survey related issues.

SYCODE Releases ESRI Shape File Import Plug-ins for AutoCAD, Bricscad, IntelliCAD and Rhinoceros

Panaji, GOA – 28th October, 2009SYCODE has released ESRI Shape file import plug-ins for AutoCAD, Bricscad, IntelliCAD and Rhinoceros. The plug-ins will allow these CAD systems to read two dimensional geometric data from ESRI shape files.  

“Recently we noticed an increase in requests for ESRI shape file support from existing and prospective customers,” explains Deelip Menezes, Founder and CEO of SYCODE. “These four ESRI import plug-ins are a direct result of those requests. In fact, a majority of our 200+ products are born this way. This video shows you how to Import Field Books in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 Drawings & Survey Databases. This is one of the most often asked questions I get from professional land surveyors just starting out with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

If this is you, you have probably already figured out that using AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010, or any version for that matter, is not always an intuitive process. So there you are, with your electronic Field Book containing all of your survey measurements and readings at the ready, and you can’t figure out how to get that data into your Survey Database and Drawing.
