In this new feature I want to start everyone's week off with some motivation for success in the week ahead. In this episode, I discuss how we too often allow ourselves to avoid the tasks and responsibilities we know we should do. Instead, we choose to tackle the easier tasks, rather than the important tasks.
In the end, the fear that is holding us back, more often than not, is either unfounded, or never existed! Unfortunately, the narrative we keep going in our head tends to build on the fear, further crippling us.

Tackle What You Fear and/or are Avoiding
This week, I want you to complete a master list of your responsibilities and tasks. Prioritize this list and make note the dates when you first took ownership of these tasks.
Then, find what it is that you've put on the back-burner for too long and why? Face that fear and schedule those overdue tasks immediately. I'm sure, that once you finish each dreaded task, you'll discover that whatever was holding you back was not real.
As noted in the video, also pay attention to your lack of paying attention. Fear, as I'm using it here, can hide itself as distraction. For example, instead of just digging in and completing a task or project, you find yourself constantly distracted by other "simple" tasks-reading email, coffee break, phone calls - to the point that the task or project just never gets completed. Recognize the symptom and stop doing that!
