  • Addresses new MicroSurvey licensing manager
  •     Many bug fixes including:
    • Leica Viva NTRIP connection issue improvements.
    • Line staking bug always displayed and “Out of Tolerance” error
    • Fixed a bug where you had to overwrite a point twice before the change occurred
    • and many more.
  •     Korea Geoid Model
  •     And many more general workflow improvements and fixes.

January 19th, 2012 – MicroSurvey is excited to announce that The Hexagon Group has entered into an agreement to acquire all outstanding shares of MicroSurvey Software Inc., the leading Canadian based developer of surveying and mapping software for the land surveying, construction, and forensic markets.

“MicroSurvey has grown very rapidly in the last 2 years and the acquisition by Hexagon gives us the means to grow even faster and keep pace with the ever-growing customer demand. Our team is extremely excited about this acquisition as it provides us the vehicle for further investment in innovation and greater access to the market”, stated Darcy Detlor, president of MicroSurvey Software. Mr. Detlor will continue as president of MicroSurvey.

Professional Land Surveyor News-STAR*NET Purchased by MicroSurvey

MicroSurvey recently announced that after years of negotiations with Starplus Software, Inc. President Ron Sawyer, the Starplus Software product line is being transferred to Microsurvey. STAR*NET is a least squares software product used by many professional land surveyors.

The press release announcing this acquisition of STAR*NET by MicroSurvey also reports that Ron Sawyer is retiring from the business after 22 years of developing and supplying STAR*NET to the professional land surveying industry.

“I am ready to pass STAR*NET onto a new group, but it was critical to me that the product would not be put on a shelf by some big company.” said Ron Sawyer, “MicroSurvey has shown a strong interest in the program and I believe they will grow STAR*NET sales both in North America and throughout the world in many countries and a variety of languages.”

MicroSurvey is a developer of surveying and mapping software and hardware solutions for over 25 years.

Leica Geosystems and MicroSurvey Extend Software Partnership

(Houston, 8 February 2010) Based on rapid growth of High-Definition Surveying™ (HDS™) in civil/survey mapping applications, Leica Geosystems, the market leader in laser scanning products, and MicroSurvey Software Inc., a leader in mapping software, announced plans at SPAR 2010 for Leica Geosystems to resell MicroSurvey’s new PointCloud CAD mapping software on a global basis.

The new PointCloud CAD software was developed by MicroSurvey using Leica Geosystems’ point cloud engine (pcE) technology to efficiently manage large laser scan data sets from any scanner or aerial Lidar as users process point cloud data into mapping elements in the software’s final deliverables. The product is planned to be available from Leica Geosystems Feb. 15, 2010.
