I contacted lyme disease in the Mid 80's around La Crosse, Wisconsin.
It was awful, fever, ache, heart palpitations, long illness and recovery time. It was difficult to diagnose at the time so it was quite bad before antibiotics had been administered.
I now suffer from arthritis and have been told it may be related to lyme disease.
